Located in the heart of Waikiki, this entertaining cultural experience is destined to be an evening to remember on your Hawaii vacation. It mixes elements of a Hawaiian luau with the first-rate entertainment value of a Vegas-style show, offering a unique blend of cultures with something for everyone. World-class Elvis and Michael Jackson tribute artists bring the “King of Rock 'n' Roll” and the “King of Pop” back to life with their signature dance moves, one-of-a-kind personas, and timeless songs. Elvis’s special connection to Hawaii, from his hit film Blue Hawaii to his record-setting Aloha from Hawaii concert, is also showcased. Interspersed throughout the show are different styles of Hawaiian music and dance as you view its evolution from the 1920s to today, including more recent hits IZ’s “Over the Rainbow” and Moana’s “How Far I’ll Go” (a favorite with kids). A thrilling Hawaiian fire dance caps off the evening.
Before the show, enjoy a Hawaiian feast in a more intimate setting. Under a thatched-roof open-air pavilion, you’ll dine at tables adorned with fresh-cut local pineapples while sipping tropical drinks. You’ll be serenaded by live ukulele and hula performers, and even join in for an optional hula lesson. Then, indulge in an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring macadamia-crusted fish, local sweet potatoes with passion fruit glaze, whole roasted pig, tofu poke, and a coconut pudding dessert.
For the ultimate experience, the exclusive Kings Package includes a guided backstage tour and a private champagne reception in the ornate Green Room, modeled after Elvis's legendary Graceland mansion. Guests are also treated to a more intimate meet & greet and a professional photo with one of the stars (Elvis or Michael Jackson).

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. How else can you see Elvis and Michael Jackson together live in concert? Add in some Hawaiian hula and Tahitian dancing, and this is a wildly entertaining show that never fails to get people dancing in their seats. The production value is over the top, and all of the performances are live (no lip-synching).
Individual seating is generally not pre-assigned, but you are guaranteed the seating level associated with your purchased package.
The Royal Hawaiian Theater features state-of-the-art sound and dynamic lighting. All seats are cushioned and elevated for unobstructed views with generous legroom. Plus, every seat includes a cupholder so you can enjoy the bar service which is also available during the show.
While Rock-a-Hula can satisfy the luau experience that's recommended for every Hawaii vacation, it pairs well with a more traditional luau if you have the time and interest. Since Rock-a-Hula covers more ground with its Elvis and Michael Jackson tributes, traditional luaus typically go deeper into Hawaiian dance and cultural components.
Some guests find the hula and Hawaiian culture at Rock-a-Hula completely fulfilling, while others with additional time, budget, and curiosity enjoy experiencing a more conventional luau on another evening as a complement to Rock-a-Hula. For example, you can consider our Ka Moana Luau for another evening and compare the two here.
The core stars rotate frequently, drawn from some of the best tribute artists in the world. If you’ve seen the show before, there’s a good chance you’ll experience something new, with different talent bringing their own flair to the roles!
There are some accessibility restrictions for portions of the backstage tour for the Kings Package. For all other guests, special accommodations are available for guests with wheelchairs during the show. Individuals in wheelchairs will be granted one guest each while at the designated area during the show. Please note with your booking, or advise at least 24 hours in advance of check-in, if you need wheelchair accommodations.
Yes, there are a variety of private event options for large groups. This can range from a private luau dinner to a complete buyout of the entire venue and show, including exclusive transportation. Please contact us with your group details for a personalized quote.
