TravelShack's Choice

WHY WE RECOMMEND THIS OPTION OVER OTHERS

  • Exciting fire-knife performance
  • Thrilling Maori war dance
  • If staying along Ka’anapali Beach, it's likely only a stroll along the beach pathway (no need to drive)
  • Servers bring drinks to table (no need to stand in line at bar)
  • Smaller crowd and intimate setting compared to other luaus that can be 500+ people (this luau has less than 300)
  • Gratuity included (unlike the large Lahaina luau)

Guidebook Reviews

Maui Revealed Guidebook:

A luau can be a blast, and they are highly recommended. The better ones are at the higher price end, and you should book them in advance.

Westin Luau’s food is good and they have a great fire knife finale, with the most fire knife dancers on the island.

Fodor's guidebook:

Luaus are a major attraction. You get what you pay for, and many of the best book weeks or months in advance, so reserve early. Plan your luau night early on in your trip to help you get into the Hawaiian spirit.

Moon Guidebook:

Attending a luau is like going to dinner theater. It’s a good opportunity to try a lot of local foods at once. If you really enjoy a good Broadway show, then you might enjoy a luau, and kids seem to love them.

Of the numerous luaus in Ka’anapali, the best show is at the Westin Maui. The fire dancers here are the best, and the food is above average.
